Retina is a surgical branch. There are many diseases of the retina for which the only solution is surgery. RIB has a state of the art Modular operation theatre (OT). We were the first eye hospital in Siliguri to have a Modular OT. A Modular OT is the safest environment to conduct any surgical procedures.
For Retina surgeries we have Topcon’s OMS 800 surgical microscope, Oculus’s BIOM and Alcon’s Constellation Vision System. Constellation is an advanced platform with advanced fluidics and endo-illumination system, tailor made for Micro Incisional Vitrectomy Surgeries (MIVS) or “Suture less Vitrectomy”. In RIB we have a dedicated Vitreo-retina OT assistance team to manage the OR and Recovery room. All our surgeries are done on a day care basis. We are empanelled with all major TPAs and provide cash less benefits, too.
